CORE PRINICIPLES
Teaching |
Teachers have tremendous power to affect lives. For this reason, they have a higher accountability.
James 3:1 ESV “Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” |
Reaching |
It is imperative that we stay focused on reaching each and every student, and in turn, teach them how to reach out to others. Yes, we teach our students academics, but we also teach them many life lessons about responsibility, accountability, and philanthropy. Teaching them the application of their “Kingdom Skills” is just as important as their academics.
|
Understanding |
Effective communication that “seeks first to understand” (Covey) is key to nearly every human interaction, and the school setting is no different. How we communicate to our colleagues, students, parents, and community says a lot about who we are and who we represent!
|
Teamwork |
None of us are can operate in isolation. The old saying “It takes a village” (Angelou) is such an insightful statement. We must work as a team within ACPA; a team within our community; and a team within the Body of Christ.
|
His Perspective |
Teaching and living from a Biblical perspective takes commitment, study, and lots of FAITH.
Titus 2:7-8 ESV “Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.” |
