The ACPA Difference |
The Three C’s |
ACPA understands that we must educate the “whole” student………..body-mind-and spirit.
The progression of culture and knowledge is taught by identifying relationships between subjects by making associations and connections. This integration of ideas creates for the student a truer sense of the relationship of oneself to past, present, and future. It also establishes real knowledge that endures with time and is not forgotten as soon as the grade is recorded. We deliver Excellence with a soul! |
ACPA endeavors to help students make these connections by using a 3-tier approach to classroom teaching:
………………….….that’s the ACPA way! |
EstablishThe Elementary Program offers a solid academic program that provides a firm foundation for the academic skills that will be needed in the higher grades. These are critical years. Our program works hard to identify any learning gaps or academic weaknesses in order to fill them. The students are told that they "are God's Masterpiece".
|
BuildThe Middle School Program offers important building concepts in both academics and character. Building upon the foundational skills of the elementary years, students are guided into the next phase of their academic development. More critical thinking skills are introduced and and students begin to understand knowledge in the context of the world around them. These are also critical years for character development. Christian concepts are promoted to help students develop empathy, kindness, self-discipline, and self-control.
PrepareThe High School Program prepares our students for college and life. ACPA now offers two tracks: College Preparatory and Vocational/Ministry.
The “Prep” is well-known for it’s college-prep track and has many students that can testify to its ability to prepare them for college. Students in this track produce SAT/ACT scores well above the state and area averages. If a student requires more challenge, Honors and Dual-Credit courses are offered, as well as on-line AP Courses and testing. Most ACPA students graduate with at least some dual-credit courses. College advisement counseling occurs weekly for grades 10th through 12th. The new Vocational/Ministry track is for students who are looking for an alternative to applying to four-year universities after high school. ACPA also wants to be life-preparatory for those students who desire a Christian worldview education, but want a route that is different from a four-year college. ACPA offers a Bible curriculum that has students read the bible cover-to-cover every two years. The senior year students are given special courses in apologetics, leadership, and personal finance to further prepare them for the academic rigors of college and important life skills necessary for adulthood. |
96% of ACPA Graduates have gone to attend college
